It is recommended to change out standard HVAC filters every 3 months and to check monthly with heavy use. Smoke detector batteries changed once a year or as needed. Clean out P-traps every 4 months or when slow draining accurse, and to flush hot water heaters once a year. Inspect every 3 months and no fewer then once a year your shutoff valves so that they will operate smoothly during an emergency or maintenance, and inspect supply lines for damage that may lead to flooding.
